Some good news, at least

Sounds like the police are honing in on the blood-suckers who committed four robberies in 45-minutes last week, right by my engineering side of campus:

Milwaukee police say the arrests of five people in recent days may clear up as many as 13 armed robberies in the city.

Department spokeswoman Anne E. Schwartz said Thursday that officers arrested three people in connection with an armed robbery at 12:40 p.m. on Tuesday, when a 54-year-old woman's purse was stolen at gunpoint near N. 62nd and W. Center street.

The male suspects, ages 15, 18 and 22, are being questioned in as many as seven different cases in Milwaukee as well as others in Wauwatosa, Schwartz said.

Police have also arrested two other people believed to be responsible for at least six armed robberies on the near north side, and the east side in the area of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Investigators are seeking two additional suspects in those cases, according to Schwartz.
